Buy 2 lbs. Jonah Crab Claws Online

Bring the flavors and fun of the Maine coast to your home with an order of Jonah Crab Claws for your next family dinner or dinner party event. Our wild-caught Jonah crab claws are a perfect appetizer and are great for dipping in melted butter or cocktail sauce. These crab claws are pre-cooked right at the dock when they come ashore, and flash-frozen to seal in the freshest taste. When thawed, they’re ready to serve alongside your favorite side or drowned in melted butter. These Jonah crab claws come triple-scored for easy opening, but you may still want crab shell crackers on hand for an even easier dining experience.

Responsibly Harvested Jonah Crab Meat

At Maine Lobster Now, we know the long-term sustainability of seafood products is an issue deeply connected to Maine and other coastal communities all across the world. In order to offer you Jonah crab meat today and in the future, we work only with fisheries that follow all local, federal, and international rules and regulations to responsibly harvest Jonah crab to ensure continued access to these crustaceans for future generations.

Unmatched Quality and Freshness

Crabmeat offered at Maine Lobster Now is the freshest, tastiest it can be for our customers. Jonah crab is caught in the cold waters of the North Atlantic and immediately cooked when docked. Our Jonah crab claws and leg meat are then flash-frozen to seal in freshness before it’s shipped to us. You won’t find Jonah crab meat that is more fresh unless you drive a boat out into the ocean and catch it yourself (which we don’t recommend).

Where Your Crab Comes From

Maine Lobster Now takes great pride in responsibly sourcing Jonah crab meat to help maintain crab populations for generations to come. Jonah crab has been sustainably harvested in Maine for generations, but rapidly warming waters have moved much of the population into colder waters just north of our shores. Today, we responsibly source Jonah Crab in the waters of Nova Scotia and the Gulf of St. Lawrence, though we also work with local fisheries in Maine whenever possible.

Nutritional Benefits

Nutritional Benefits of Jonah Crab Meat

Crabmeat is a high-protein meat source that comes packed with vitamins and minerals. Like other shellfish and seafood we sell, crab could be added to the growing list of “superfoods” health experts recommend. Crabmeat offers a whopping 16 grams of protein per 3 oz. serving.

Crabmeat also contains vitamins B12 and C, and the antioxidants zinc and selenium. Zinc helps support bone mass and immune function, while selenium aids in preventing cellular damage. And there’s more. Crabmeat is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help lower inflammation and can reduce the risk of heart disease.

Cooking Crab

Serving Jonah Crab Claws Is Easy

Our Jonah Crab Claws are already fully cooked by professional fishermen as soon as they are landed at the dock. Once thawed, you can eat the crab meat cold. The crab claws are triple-scored for easy opening, but having crab shell crackers on hand can help to more easily extract the meat.

Heating Jonah crab is easy and fast. It is recommended to only heat the product until warmed through to your desired temperature. Overcooking Jonah crab meat may result in less flavorful meat and an undesired texture.

    Absolutely delicious!

I became a stone crab addict long ago and eventually found a very close cousin in Jonah crab. It does have a harder shell so you need a set of crackers. The extra effort is worth the wait. Sweet and delicious! I recommend googling the Stone Crab sauce they use at Joe’s Stone Crabs in Miami. Easy to make and goes really well. Jonah crab is a fraction of the price of Stone Crab and it’s also easier to eat. The shell isn’t as hard. Highly recommend!!

Very good, but difficult to eat

Just had Jonah crabs for the first time and they arrived very fresh, and still frozen. I'm a huge stone crab fan. Thought the Jonah crabs would be better. They were still very good, but very difficult to eat Probably won't order them again, but I still love Maine Lobster Now. ❤
