Shipping Policy

Recipient Responsibility

It is the customer's responsibility to receive the package(s) on the date of delivery. In the event the customer is not available to receive the package(s) Maine Lobster Now reserves the right to refuse any refund or reshipment. It is the customer's responsibility to notify the recipient of these terms.
In the event that your package is delivered and something happens after left at the address, Maine Lobster Now does not assume responsibility for the package. All shipments under $800USD are sent with a Shipper Release clause meaning that as long as the driver feels comfortable leaving the package at the delivery address they will, without requiring a signature. This ensures that our shipments are received within a timely manner due to the perishable nature of our products.
If the recipient of a package refuses or denies delivery for any reason this forfeits any refund that may be available, this includes but is not limited to late delivery, damaged package, spoiled goods.

Shipping Protection:

Customers who pay for shipping protection will have their product cost, packaging costs, and shipping costs fully reimbursed for the following reasons: delivered late due to flight delays, mechanical failures, or improperly sorted packages, and/or damaged in transit by the carrier. Severe weather conditions which cause delayed arrival will disqualify any refund even if shipping protection has been included.

Delayed Shipments

Once in the possession of the shipping provider Maine Lobster Now can not take responsibility for any issues encountered during transit. We offer the shipping protection as a coverage for damaged or lost packages. Customers who do not opt in to shipping protection a refund or reshipment due to these conditions is at the discretion of Maine Lobster Now.

Address Validation

Maine Lobster Now will ship all products to the address submitted by the customer. If an deliverable or incorrect address is submitted, no refund or reshipment will be issued. Shipping to a closed business will also void the customer from any refund.

Signature Requirements

All shipments that have a merchandise value of $800.00 or more require a direct signature.
All shipments that are delivered to a business require a signature.
All other shipments are sent no signature required.

Post Office Box

No deliveries will be made to a Post Office Box.

Delivery Time

Shipments are typically delivered to most areas before 10:30 am local time, Saturday deliveries are typically 90 minutes later than normal. Please email us so we can check your local expected delivery time if its critical to your event. Once shipments are passed to our carrier, UPS or FedEx, shipments are guaranteed to be delivered by the commitment time provided by the carrier. This commit time can be found on either or and entering your delivery zip code using Priority Overnight Service or Next Day Air from zip code 04106. In the event the carrier does not deliver the package by this time than the customer would be eligible for a refund on shipping, packaging, and contents, unless the package was damaged or effected by weather. See "Shipping Protection" for additional coverage details.

Saturday Delivery

We accept all orders for Saturday delivery and will use UPS or Fedex to deliver to that area. Unfortunately, in some cases Saturday delivery is not available with either carrier. Please contact us prior to placing your order to see if Saturday delivery is available in your area.

Monday Delivery

Yes we deliver on Monday! We we ship frozen products out on Saturday from our facility to be delivered Monday morning, please contact an agent for details.

Tracking Information

After you place your order, a tracking number will be generated on the ship date by UPS or Fedex and sent to you via email. This tracking number can be used to review the status of your shipment in transit, however this tracking number will not be valid for until the shipment is picked up from our facility at 6 pm EST. If after that time you are still not able to track the package, please contact our offices to speak with a representative.

Cancelling or Modifying Shipments

All orders can be cancelled or modified prior to the shipment date. Once a tracking number has been generated a cancellation penalty may apply and any modifications are subject to surcharges based on the type of modification being made.
