Sink Your Teeth Into Delicious 4-5 oz. Lobster Tails

Delicious and easy to prepare, our 4-5 oz. lobster tails are one of our most popular items. These tails are easy to cook, so you can quickly crack into thick pieces of tender meat that are great on their own or as part of a lobster recipe.

Responsibly Harvested Lobster

Our lobsters are wild-caught using the latest responsible harvesting methods that help ensure the long-term population of this coastal favorite and support thousands of independently owned businesses in Maine. You can feel confident that you’re eating great-tasting lobster that’s sourced responsibly.

Unmatched Quality and Freshness

To deliver lobster that is more fresh and better tasting than our competitors, we immediately flash-freeze lobster tails using a proprietary liquified nitrogen process to seal in freshness. This means you get lobster delivered to your door that tastes like it just came off the dock. Order 4-5 oz. lobster tails today to bring a taste of Maine home, wherever you live.

Health Advisory: Consuming raw or undercooked shellfish may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions. If you’re not sure how to prepare lobster, please review our cooking directions.

We responsibly source our lobsters directly from independently owned wharfs, some just a few miles from our headquarters here in Maine and others all along the North Atlantic coast. Each day the docks trace their landings to every lobsterman and woman who catches them, and we trace our lobsters to every dock where they landed.

The Serving Size of 4-5 oz. Lobster Tails
If you don’t know what size lobster you need, we’re here to help. Most 4-5 oz. lobster tails will be enough to feed one person as part of a main course that includes a few lobster side dishes. If you don’t have any sides, you may want to choose a larger lobster tail instead. Whether you need lobster tails for a much-needed change to your weekly dinner routine, or you’re planning a special dinner-for-two on Saturday night, these lobster tails are sure to satisfy your seafood craving.

Lobster is a nutritious seafood rich in lean protein, essential for muscle repair and overall health. It is also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart health, reduce inflammation, and may improve brain function. Additionally, lobster contains important vitamins and minerals like vitamin B12, zinc, and selenium, promoting immune and nervous system health.

Maine Lobster Now offers next-day delivery for orders placed Monday through Friday by 8AM ET, with delivery available Tuesday through Saturday. Saturday deliveries may require an additional fee and are subject to availability. Orders are shipped with dry ice or gel packs to ensure freshness. Shipping may be affected by holidays or weather conditions. Customers are encouraged to inspect their package upon arrival and report any issues immediately with photos. For more details, refer to their shipping policy.

Simple Instructions for Storing and Thawing Lobster
We’ll help you keep your lobster tails at the highest quality possible.

Frozen lobsters should be left to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours to prevent lobster meat from sticking to the shell.
Cook tails within 2 days of thawing.
Never thaw a lobster tail in warm water or at room temperature.
If not properly thawed before cooking, lobster meat can become tough and may stick to the shell.

Learn About Why Nitrogen Freezing Is Better

Because we nitrogen freeze our lobster tails, when handled properly, our lobster tails can be indistinguishable from fresh lobster tails. Nitrogen freezing also prevents the meat from sticking to the shell when thawed under refrigeration overnight. Read more about the benefits of our nitrogen freezing process.
