Introduce Your Taste Buds to Our 10-12 oz. Lobster Tails
Your weekend dinner plans just became so much more exciting. Sink your teeth into our delicious, easy-to-prepare 10-12 oz. lobster tails. In no time, you’ll be dunking pieces of thick, tender lobster meat into sweet melted butter, or use the meat in this chef-prepared lobster fettuccine recipe or any number of seafood recipes.
Sustainably Harvested Lobster
Our lobsters are wild-caught using the latest sustainable harvesting methods that help ensure the long-term population of this coastal favorite and support thousands of independently owned businesses in Maine. You can feel confident that you’re eating great-tasting lobster that’s sourced responsibly.
Unmatched Quality and Freshness
To deliver lobster that is more fresh and better tasting than our competitors, we immediately flash-freeze lobster tails using a proprietary liquified nitrogen process to seal in freshness. This means you get lobster delivered to your door that tastes like it just came off the dock. Order 10-12 oz. lobster tails today to bring a taste of Maine home, wherever you live.
We source our lobster tails directly from independently owned wharfs, some just a few miles from our headquarters here in Maine and others all along the North Atlantic coast. Each day the docks trace their landings to every lobsterman and woman who catches them, and we trace our lobsters to every dock where they landed.
The Serving Size of 10-12 oz. Lobster Tails
If you don’t order lobster meat often, you may not know what size you need. We can help. Most 10-12 oz. lobster tails will be enough to feed one person as part of a main course that includes a side dish. If you don’t have any lobster side dishes, you may want to choose a lobster tail a size larger, or even go for a jumbo lobster tail. Whether you want lobster tails to refresh your weekly dinner routine, or you’re planning a special anniversary dinner for two, these lobster tails are sure to satisfy any culinary craving.
Are Lobsters the Next Superfood?
Lobsters offer a host of beneficial health qualities similar to other “superfoods.” Lobster (along with other seafood we sell) is an excellent source of protein, offering 19 grams of protein per 3.5 oz. serving.
Lobster also contains a healthy dose of vitamins B3, B6, and B12 to support metabolism and cognitive function. It’s an excellent source of the antioxidant selenium which prevents cellular damage, and is high in zinc to boost immunity. And like salmon, lobster also contains omega-3 fatty acids that help lower inflammation and can reduce the risk of heart disease.
Schedule Deliveries and Earn FREE Shipping
Maine Lobster Now offers the best price on shipping lobsters and other seafood products.
You can also schedule your seafood delivery ahead of time. At checkout, you can choose the day you want your food delivered to ensure you have the freshest possible seafood at your door on the day you need it.
In order to bring you a truly memorable seafood experience and keep our products as fresh as possible, all frozen items are shipped with gel packs or dry ice. Dry ice is not hazardous to food and will not contaminate it. In fact, these cooling methods, alongside our own nitrogen freezing process, help keep your seafood at ideal temperatures during shipping and ensure they taste just like they are fresh from the dock.
Simple Instructions for Storing and Thawing Lobster
We’ll help you keep your lobster tails at the highest quality possible.
- Frozen lobsters should be left to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours to prevent lobster meat from sticking to the shell.
- Cook tails within 2 days of thawing.
- Never thaw a lobster tail in warm water or at room temperature.
- If not properly thawed before cooking, lobster meat can become tough and may stick to the shell.
