Our Alaskan snow crab pieces are wild-caught and sustainable.  We offer an affordable and delicious way to turn a regular meal into a fine dining experience. Snow crab segments are shorter and more narrow compared to our king crab, but offer sweet, tender meat that’s just as good on its own, or dipped in melted butter or tangy cocktail sauce. One bite and you’ll be transported to a charming fishing village overlooking tranquil ocean vistas.

Some crab legs are broken and are not eligible for a refund.

Maine Lobster Now takes tremendous pride in sourcing the highest-quality seafood products to ship them directly to our customers. We adhere to NOAA FishWatch guidance on all responsibly sourced seafood products we offer. We responsibly source our crab products from regions all over the world. Our snow crab is responsibly and ethically sourced from Canada in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, as well as the Bering Sea off of the Alaskan coast. Sourcing snow crabs from natural habitats allows them to be wild-caught in a manner that does not adversely affect their population or the surrounding ecosystem. What’s a Serving Size of Alaskan Snow Crab Leg Pieces?
When ordering Snow Crab Legs, you should know the weight includes both the hard exoskeleton and the meat inside. On average, a snow crab yields about 50% meat to 50% shell. So each order of snow crab leg pieces provides about 8 oz. of meat and is an ideal for serving 2 people for their main entrée.

Snow crab is a great source of lean protein, which supports muscle growth and tissue repair while being low in fat. It is rich in essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin B12, zinc, and selenium, which promote a healthy immune system and cognitive function. Additionally, snow crab contains omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for heart health and reducing inflammation.

Simple Instructions for Storing and Thawing Snow Crab
We’ll help you maintain your snow crab at the highest quality possible.

Keep frozen at or below 0℉.
Thaw under refrigeration at or below 38℉.
For quick thawing, place frozen package in cool water for 20 to 30 minutes until contents are flexible.
Once thawed, immediately use or refrigerate.
Do not allow food to warm above 38℉ prior to cooking.

Preparing Snow Crab Is Easy
We’re here to help perfectly cook your snow crab legs, even if this is your first time ordering them.
Snow Crab Leg Pieces are already fully cooked by professional fishermen as soon as they are landed at the dock. Once thawed, you can eat the crab meat straight out of the leg and body portion.
Heating snow crab is easy and fast. To boil:

Fill a large pot with water. Bring to a boil.
Add snow crab leg pieces. Turn heat down to medium.
Boil for 4 minutes. If boiling more than 15 legs, cook for 8 minutes.
Remove crab from pot. Run under cold water to stop them from cooking further. Overheating or overcooking can ruin meat’s flavor and texture. Plate and enjoy!

You can also steam, grill, or bake snow crab legs.

Well worth the price. Broken pieces are better than whole, just not as Crab looking but do handle well during the feast :yum:
