We responsibly source our jumbo lobster tails directly from independently owned wharfs all along the North Atlantic coast. Each day the docks trace their lobster landings to every lobsterman and woman who catches them, and we trace our jumbo lobsters to every dock where they landed.

Generally speaking, you should expect to get 50% of cooked lobster tail meat out of every raw lobster tail once cooked, so you can expect about 8-10 ounces of meat per 16-20 ounce lobster tail. We recommend 6-8 ounces of cooked meat per person so we recommend one 16-20 ounce raw lobster tail per person.

Maine Lobster Now offers next-day delivery for orders placed Monday through Friday by 8AM ET, with delivery available Tuesday through Saturday. Saturday deliveries may require an additional fee and are subject to availability. Orders are shipped with dry ice or gel packs to ensure freshness. Frozen lobster tails should be thawed in the refrigerator for 24 hours to prevent the meat from sticking to the shell. It’s important to cook the tails within 2 days of thawing to ensure freshness. Never thaw a lobster tail in warm water or at room temperature, as this can affect the quality. If the lobster is not properly thawed before cooking, the meat can become tough and may stick to the shell, leading to a less enjoyable dining experience.
