Preparation & Storage

This is a perishable frozen-food assortment. Arrange for the recipient to be home to receive it and store the foods promptly. Keep the chowder, lobster mac and cheese, and crab cakes frozen until ready to prepare; thaw under refrigeration as directed. Follow each component's current package instructions. The chowder must not be microwaved or boiled. Reheat the chowder and cook the lobster mac and cheese and crab cakes to an internal temperature of 165°F. For the 2.5 lb. mac and cheese, follow the family-size package directions rather than relying on personal-portion cooking times. Heating appliances and portion sizes affect preparation time.

Thaw under refrigeration as required by each current package label. Arrange for someone to receive the shipment and refrigerate or freeze the foods promptly. Follow each component's package for storage and handling.

Haddock chowder: thaw under refrigeration; warm the container in 180°F water for 8–9 minutes or until the chowder reaches 165°F. Do not boil or microwave.
Lobster mac and cheese: this bundle includes the 2.5 lb. family-size portion. Follow the current family-size package instructions; heat to 165°F. Personal-portion times are not guaranteed for this size.
Maine crab cakes: keep frozen until use. Follow the package instructions; the component guide suggests searing about one minute per side, then baking in a 400°F oven approximately 15 minutes thawed or 20 minutes frozen, until 165°F internally. Butter/oil are not included.
