Servings
Planned for two people, with approximately 1.5 lbs. of shell-on stone crab claws per person. Share one 4 oz. butter stick and one wooden mallet. Shell-on weight is not edible-meat weight. Potatoes, dessert and mustard sauce are not included.
Preparation
The claws are pre-cooked before freezing. Thaw under refrigeration and serve chilled, or gently warm according to the package instructions. Melt the butter if desired. Use the wooden mallet carefully to crack shells; remove shell fragments before eating.
Storage
Keep stone crab frozen until needed. Thaw under refrigeration according to the package directions and use promptly. Refrigerate butter according to its label. Keep the mallet clean and dry.
