8-10 oz. Snow Crab Leg Clusters for Sale

Our 8-10 oz. Snow Crab Leg Clusters are here to make your next dining experience a truly special one. Snow crab leg clusters arrive at your home with legs attached to the shoulders of the crab, meaning you get a heartier portion of sweet crabmeat with every order. Snow crab legs tend to be thinner than its’ “cousin” the Alaskan red king crab, but snow crab legs are generally longer. This means you still get plenty of tender, flaky meat to enjoy at your next family dinner night or gathering with friends.

Snow crab meat shreds more easily than that of the Alaskan king crab, which makes it an ideal choice if you want to add it to your favorite recipes, like crab mac & cheese, or mix it with mayo for a classic crab roll. Of course, you can also just whip up some side dishes and serve your crabmeat with butter or tangy cocktail sauce for a traditional New England delight.

Responsibly Harvested Snow Crab Meat

The sustainability of seafood products is an issue deeply connected to Maine Lobster Now, fishing communities in Maine, and coastal communities all across the world. In order to offer you snow crab meat today and in the future, we work only with fisheries that follow all local, federal, and international rules and regulations to responsibly harvest snow crab to ensure continued access to these crustaceans for future generations.

Unmatched Quality and Freshness

Maine Lobster Now sources crabmeat to be the freshest, tastiest it can be for our customers. Caught north of Nova Scotia in Canada and off the coast of Alaska in the Bering Sea, snow crabs are immediately cooked and flash-frozen when brought into the docks. It’s impossible to experience fresher snow crab unless you take a boat out on the water and catch it yourself (which we don’t recommend).

Where Your Crab Comes From

Maine Lobster Now is proud to responsibly source our crab products from regions all over the world. Our snow crab is responsibly and ethically sourced from Canada in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, as well as the Bering Sea off of the Alaskan coast. Sourcing snow crabs from natural habitats allows them to be wild-caught in a manner that does not adversely affect their population or the surrounding ecosystem.

Serving Size

What’s a Serving Size of Snow Crab Leg Clusters?

When ordering Snow Crab Leg Clusters, please note the weight includes both the hard exoskeleton and the meat inside. So how much food are you actually getting? On average, a snow crab yields about 50% meat to 50% shell. So each 8-10 oz. snow crab leg cluster provides 4-5 oz. of meat, the perfect recommended serving size.

Don’t forget to order some classic seafood side dishes with your crab order. We offer all the necessary kitchen supplies, like lemon, butter, and cocktail sauce, and you can also order delicious corn on the cob to pair with your crab order. Snow crab meat also makes a great protein option to use in any crab cakes recipe. And if you really want to bring all the flavors of Maine home, add a Maine-iac Chocolate Whoopie Pie for dessert.

Nutritional Benefits

Nutritional Benefits of Snow Crab Meat

Crabmeat is a high-protein meat source that comes packed with vitamins and minerals. Like other shellfish and seafood we sell, crab could be added to the growing list of “superfoods” health experts recommend.

Crabmeat offers a whopping 16 grams of protein per 3 oz. serving. Crabmeat also contains vitamins B12 and C, and the antioxidants zinc and selenium. Zinc helps support bone mass and immune function, while selenium aids in preventing cellular damage. And there’s more. Crabmeat is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help lower inflammation and can reduce the risk of heart disease.

Cooking Crab

Preparing Snow Crab Is Easy

We’re here to help perfectly cook your snow crab leg clusters, even if this is your first time ordering them.

Snow Crab Leg Clusters are already fully cooked by professional fishermen as soon as they are landed at the dock. Once thawed, you can eat the crab meat straight out of the leg and body portion.

Heating snow crab is easy and fast. To boil:

  • Fill a large pot with water. Bring to boil.
  • Add snow crab leg clusters. Turn heat down to medium.
  • Boil for 4 minutes. If boiling more than 15 legs, cook for 8 minutes.
  • Remove crab from pot. Run under cold water to stop them from cooking further. Overheating or overcooking can ruin meat’s flavor and texture. Plate and enjoy!

You can also steam, grill, or bake snow crab leg clusters.
