Wild-Cuaght Yellowfin Tuna From Maine Lobster Now
Yellowfin Tuna or (Ahi) are highly migratory fish found throughout the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans. It is available fresh or frozen, though the fresh is preferable if possible, since wild-caught Atlantic yellowfin in the U.S. must be sustainably managed and responsibly harvested under U.S. regulations.
Yewllowfin Tuna–A Delicious Protein Source
Yellowfin tuna is safe to eat raw, sushi style (as in a maki roll or hand roll style). Serve with a soy-ginger dipping sauce and a dollop of wasabi. If semi-raw is preferred, sear fish about 1 minute per side.
Cooking Wild-Caught Yellowfin Tuna
Cook yellowfin tuna all the way through by searing each side about 3 to 4 minutes. Cut tuna into 1½ chunks, marinate in olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper for 20 minutes. Thread onto kebabs with vegetables and grill.
